It's a shocking day today here. It's nice and dry now but that wind is just plain nasty.

It's a double brandy you'll need if it gets any colder - seen any St Bernard's about.

                  Re: Weather

                  Hi dave,

The weather's just as bad down here. Risked it last monday even though it wasn't raining it was quite windy and at the end of my first tankfull just landing my raptor 50 I lost control and crashed !! Damaged the blades, a blade holder, a servo, 1 boom stabiliser and a few links !!

It's repaired now and I want to fly it again and it's blowing like crazy outside !! Maybe I should buy a kite !!

Let us know how you get on with the Magnum fuel. Come to think of it, maybe we all should have a discussion on fuels.

I use mainly Wildcat 15% for the Raptor with an O.S 50. My other heli's I use Coolpower 10%. I have a Webra 50 in my Robinson R22 and a Super Tigre 60 in my Xcell. I find that the Coolpower seems to smoke a lot more than the Wildcat. What's your view ?

True....If you waited for the perfect day you'll only get out once or twice a year in the UK. Today is far from the best day for standing in the middle of the field twiddling sticks and playing with your chopper.

All this talk of weather I've put a block on for weather, you select from the list your town. I'm busy going through everyone's location to put them all in but I'm not a mind reader so for those that haven't updated thier location within your profile you'll have to find your nearest by a few 100 or 1000 miles , if anyone wants a specific place then just PM me.
                      Cheers

                        WEATHER BOX

                        hi Stu
The weather box you have introduced is the greatest thing since sliced bread - wish it had been around when I piloting when I needed to check the weather a lot more than I do now.
                        Keep up the good work.

I agree, well done Stuart, that really is a great idea, this site is rapidly becoming everything the model heli pilot will need.

I noticed youve also got all the places in the towns list where we have members, nice one

                          Cheers,

                          Pete.

Thanks for the comments, I'm more than happy to put in every members locations now while the sites in its early stages, rather than having 100's or if lucky 1000's to do later on....
