I've got 4 Spartan DS760 gyros in various helis from Beam E4 up to 90 size and have had them for a while. Never had any bother with any of them.
I've always done the entire setup process via the USB link on a PC and find it worryingly simple to use and setup, to the point where I can setup a servo/gyro from scratch on the bench and have it require no further adjustments at all. But the point is, I've never ever used the quick setup procedure where you flick switches a couple of times on start up and use the rudder stick to select various options - never done it and wouldn't know how to do it. I remember going through this process years ago with the old CSM560s and I guess it's probably very similar.
I was at the field with a heli this afternoon and on normal switch on, the gyro went into quick setup mode without warning.
Question is - why did it do this all of a sudden?
No harm was done and all the settings stayed good and I carried on flying after some close inspection of the output and sensing etc.
Any thoughts?
