  • Carbon Booms

    Hi people of Earth
I find the alloy tail booms on my Nexus very easy to bend in a crash, I'm thinking of fitting a carbon one as this will be much stronger and crash resistant.
Can you see any problems with this???

      Hi Trev,

I think Dave is right, the benefits of a carbon boom over an alloy one are purely in weight and looks. Carbon will still shatter and break the same as alloy in a heavy impact with either the ground or blades, whichever comes first 8O

I would suggest that you are far better off sticking with the alloy ones, as for one thing they are much cheaper to replace after a crash.

This is assuming of course that you intend flying the heli here on earth where gravity is probably a bit stronger than what you're used to

      Cheers,

      Pete.

          Thanks Kaymo .
Can you be a bit more specific is it North or South Uranus??, unless you have a number I can ring which would be even better.
