Just thought I would post a recent excperience.
I bought a Kong Power 2600 pack for my 500 at the end of Summer last year from Innovation RC. Had around 4 or 5 gentle break in flights then put it in storage mode as was waiting for another to use in series on my 6HV. In the end that never came as Innovation RC stopped trading.
Anyway, flew for the first time this year last week and charged all my 500 packs up including the KP. When I got to the site the first pack I used was the KP and no sooner had I got airborne and hit idle up, power dropped and it fell back to earth. Figured I had not charged it so flew the other packs and when I got back charged the KP again. To my surprise it was fully charged. I cycled it on the Powerlab 8 and noticed high resistance on 2 cells. Tested it and as soon as load is applied the voltage drops rapidly.
I emailed Kong Power and expressed my disappointment at the failure and also explained that the supplier I bought it from was not trading and asked whether I could send it back to them so they could establish why it had failed prematurely. Within a couple hours they responded expressing sorrow for not having a local distributor sorted and also explained that the warranty on packs is normally 90 days, but on this occasion would issue a replacement pack and apologised for the issue.
This is customer service above and beyond what is required and has ensured I will buy KP packs again (if I find a good supplier!!)
