Scam maybe

I have sent stuart a pm about this one(thanks stuart for your reply)
anyway as some of you may know am new to this hobby and i have been after a few bits,so i posted a wanted on BMFA with my email addy on,here is 2 replys i got from the same bloke

"My name is Barry Smith I saw your Wanted Ad, so I decided
to e-mail you to see if you are still interested in it, as I have it
in Good condition to offer.

Barry Smith."

"Thanks for the email Paul, i have the servo and i have it in a mint
condition. I am asking $560 including shipment to your location.

Barry."

There is no way am falling into this trap as all he is intrested in is for me to send him the payment
thought i would post it on here so you are all aware of this quite alot of you on here will know of all the scams going on
it may not be a scam but sounds very strange to me

haha yeah i know what you mean sure should be gold plated for that price,
the things people do to try and rip ya off

In my opinion when ever selling anything you never allow your e-mail address to become public this just fuels scamming agents and they will use bots to pick e-mails off websites to farm them and hit you with shed loads of junk and scams.

We will never be perfect here but we encourage people to use PM's to communicate and never let out your e-mail address if using text or special characters to disguise your e-mail when public will not always work.

To be fair to BMFA there is a large headline, in the classified section, warning advertisers against putting an email address in the advert..
