  • Where to fly?

Where do people tend to fly? Are you going to clubs or just down to the local park, in which case is it legal to fly at your local park or do you have to look for some ancient bylaw that says it's ok there? Does your insurance cover you at the park?

Too many questions I know but just one more:

Anyone know of any decent Heli clubs in the Guildford area where I can hopefully learn something from others?

Have to say that I never felt comfortable flying in a public area, like a park or National Trust/Forestry Commission area; just too many potential surprises!!!!
Much better to be in a club with like-minded folk.

OK so club looks the way to go.

Any ideas in the guildford area? I'm really close to the Elmbridge model club but I think their heli section is really small and one reason I'm looking to a club is to learn from others with a Heli, hence I'm unsure on this one, if I flew planes though they'd be at the top of my list.

Thanks for the link Heligray, it looks as though Boxhill is the closest full on heli club to me so I will have to pay them a visit.

                  Hello all,
James, hope u don't mind me for budding in but have sort of the same question.
Anyone know where I can get some one to one training done.
I recently upgraded to a blade 400 and have since already had my second crash.
I am in nead of practical help. Flying goes well on sim but seem to lost it everytime I am on the field.
I am currently based in the sw clapham area London and was hoping for a suggestion where I might be able to find someone or club close by.

If anyone can help it would be well appreciated and might safe me a lot of money and repair works which means more fly time offcourse.

                  Thanks.
