So rusty...

With the cold weather (you really don't want to stand on our hillside on a cold windy day) I've not flown since Christmas Eve... too long, and even then the session was cut short because I had forgotten to charge the tx battery.

So the first decent weather this weekend. I feel like my flying has regressed at least a year, I was all over the place and it didn't help on the first takeoff with the T-Rex 600 that I was so rusty I used the throttle hold instead of idle up switch and ended up doing an unintended autorotation into the heather. (Fortunately got away with it, thumped down onto uneven ground and fortunately the heli didn't tip over)

I think I need to spend a few sessions of just slow smooth flying and basic manoevres just to get back into it...

That's all pretty similar to my experience since Nov last year. I really practiced the basics again over two or three flying sessions, nothing too taxing, then it kinda started sloting into place again. Still feel rusty, just a little less rusty than before.
