    now i am sure i have seen a thread about this (but i cant remember to much about it)
    now when i connect my battery to my rexie 500CF i get a spark (well not a spark but like a crackle as i put the connections togeather, is this normal or is something not quiet right ?

    I have dean connections on heli and batteries !

    any advice and views welcome

          There are capacitors on the esc. These behave like a short circuit when you first connect. This damages the battery a bit, but noone know if it is a problem. The spark isn't caused directly by the high current, but by the speed of increase. This rapid change of current causes a high voltage due to the inductance of the wire. As previous poster said this is normal. Being hesitant when you connect makes it worse. Purple Power have found a way to stop this happening. They make the initial connection through a small resistor. This limits the initial current and also the speed of increase and cures the problem. Most people ignore it. The better the lipo the worse the problem as it can provide a larger current.
