Is this to advanced to start with?

I have just bought a Nexus 30 with a MDS motor off E-Bay, it seems very complicated . Will it be okay to start flying with?

Unfortunately Trev you have done things the wrong way round ,you have made your purchase and then asked if it's okay.
The Nexus is an entry level helicopter but has probably had it's day. There are better entry level helicopters the Caliber or Raptor comes to mind, they will give you great service where the Nexus will run your bank balance down fast.

do you want to buy it phillip? the person i bought it off says it is worth nearly 1000 but he let me have it all for 750 so you can have it for the same amount

Sorry to say this my friend but you have been severely done if u paid that much for it. It is at least 3 times over the price it should be. A Raptor 30 is a far better learner heli and is available anywhere for less than 400 brand new.

yes you can get other ones for less money but i was told this one is top of the range and the fastest because he had had it tuned up by a profesional in his club and all it needs is the handset and the servos to make it work

I started with a Nexus and within 6mths changed it for the V1 Raptor 30, the Nexus will allow you to learn to fly and can do more advanced flying. But its very much past its time and the Raptor 30, Caliber 30 and Sceadu 30 are very much the starting point now.

Don't let this dampen your enthusiasim to learn this hobby we've all made some mistakes, but your man who sold it needs a lesson in facts.

I would check Ebay for any issues of false advertising and raise a complaint and asked the chap for some cashback. How long ago did you get it and do you still have the link to the listing.

I doubt your chances much, but hey shy bairns get nowt....

If you get no where re-list it on Ebay take the cash and get any of the ones I've listed above.

Alternatively, keep it learn as much as you can and then when you get your first major crash then get one of the above. We'll help you out with what's the best Tx, Rx servo's etc to get you in the air.

I am very sorry for you too, if what you have said is the truth,your actions have been so wrong in what you have done, it is hard to believe that a person like yourself could be caught so badly as you appear to have been.If you are not having a monumental wind up with some of the guys on this site,I think the best thing you can do is to wrap that nexus round the neck of the guy you bought it from, and then start again from scratch.It is easy for me to assume that you were having a game, for I have never seen a nexus make the sort of money you claim to have paid on the e-bay site,If there had been one then I am very upset that I was not the seller.There you have it Alien, and if you speak the truth the good natured chaps on this site will make sure you do not do something so absolutely wrong again.

You've got a number of options:

1. Attempt to get some or all of your money back from the seller.

2. Put the heli on eBay and sell it to get some money back.

3. Complete the heli and fly it.

Can you post the eBay item number, we'll give have a look at the ad and see what we're dealing with.

You should be mad at the jerk who ripped you off, and he did indeed!! but if you've paid for it- stay with it and learn all you can with it. Radios - look for something like a JR X-378 for now and then move onto something like a Raptor 50V2 chopper once you know what you're doing. There are thiefs in this world but what goes around comes around.
