Lucky escape this lunch...

Went out to have a fly at lunch and take advantage of the sun. Set up, connected lipo, spooled up, got just under a foot in the air and the note changed, then a crack and the 360 started to live up to it's name and 360

Hit throttle hold and hoped for the best.

Turns out a TT gear split and let go, so I lost the tail. Feel lucky as after a quick look over I can't see any damage other than the gear and maybe the rear blades ( not sure how they got mangled as there must have been no drive to them )

So a rebuild of the gears on my list now. Think I'll get around to fitting the GT9 as well.

Worryingly it must have been weekend for some time as I don't remember clipping the tail yesterday. At least it went while spooling up and not in real flight.

Was intending to actually, as it gets pretty dirty where I fly so I'll be removing the dust from the nooks and crannies. I'd bee putting off changing the gyro so will take the opportunity to do that as well.

I normally wait until Phil at revolution models passes me the PDQ to enter my pin - that is when I shut my eyes.
