  • adjusting swash plate throw?

OK this is probably an old and obvious answer but hey if u don't ask u don't get so ccpm 120degrees mixing how is it best to limit the throw or does it make no difference as in 100% travel, adjust the 2 servos (elevator, aileron) for full throw with the ccpm values then limit the throw with dual rate's or limit the throw with the ccpm value's and use the dual rate's to up the throw? I'm not including pitch as this is a set amount but just wondered if any certain way was better.

    What radio are you using?

example on a Futaba would be Swash ARF.

Pitch = adjusts to ATV of the swash for picth
Ail = adjusts to ATV of the swash for Aileron
Ele = adjusts to ATV of the swash for Elevator

Nutz I'm using a futaba but I'm setting up the throw on the swash plate with the ccpm values in the tx then limiting the throw with dual rate my travel adjusts are all set to 100% witch gives plenty of throw but i just wondered if its best to set up the swash for max swash plate throw then just use 1 dual rate to soften it down as oppose to using both sides of the switch to bring it back to an acceptable throw. actually the more i think about this i'm thinking i may be talking rubbish and just use the ccpm values then trim it down with dual rate for one side any way thanks for reading lol.

i never use dual rates. I setup for max swash through using the swash values then tune the expo to get the feel i want around the centre.

i will have a gleg at those sites later Cheer's but i think I'm gonna take the advise from Ade and bang the dual rate back up and set it through the ccpm value's and just have different expo's for the switch up and down cus the last thing i need is another switch to worry about in flight thinking I'm in 1 mode and go for a move only to find it to slow I've already escaped a roll in normal mode thinking i was in idle up.

Is that why all Trex E owners charge at night time?

theres a good reason why i cant use dual rates on my TX, the kids snapped off the switches i havent had chance to replace them.
