  • Gonna stick em good and proper

Align white paddles on my 700 have come loose again; binned the first pair! Have used shed lots of retainer (638) on thread and in paddle and ensured the grubby is really tight still no good. Some araldite and new grub screws again now me thinks that should do the job! Any tips gratefully received!

in 2 years of flying 700's i never had a paddle come loose-changed a few in crashes but that was it.

i suspect your not tightening the paddle enough-i know it is a fine line but that is probably all it is.

if your concerned then a thin smear of epoxy at the end should work i guess. but may ruin 25 quid paddles to change a flybar-your call.

    cheers

I can assure you the paddle grub screw is as tight as tight can be to the point where the allen key slips at the end and the key is a perfect fit (key damages grub)! I have never had paddles come loose but twice in a row with these 700 paddles (with the black stripe) is not a coincidence. The only time I change paddles is when I take a pair of bolt cutters to the flybar when a machine has been decked! Not at all concerned about epoxying paddles costing £25.00 on a £8.00 flybar when I'm putting it through it through extreme forces! Cheers anyhow!

Sorry didnt read your reply properly. Have tightened the paddles 4mm over the recommended 207mm but still came loose?
