  • MCPX!! Best heli since 450 Pro!

Hi all been reading alot on here about this heli. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, even if most people posting are completly wrong . To say this heli cant do 3d and that videos are fake is ridiculous.

I took it outside this morning in a bigger space and it performed great. Fully 3d capable me and adie have been doing piro fig 8, chaos, metronomes ect and it handled fine. My opinion is that you have to be carefull with it, no heavy handed inputs ect. I think this heli performs really well for 30 seconds then good for about 2 mins then you will struggle to do flips ect once battery has drained that much. In time there will be better batteries and upgrades for this heli and i can see it being alot better. Yea the tail does struggle sometimes but you have to work through it.

Bottom line though it works out the box and here is a video below to show what i did with it just now.

I think this heli definitely seperates the men from the boys..

Also a video from last night in a lot tighter space in my back garden:

I think the problem here is the fact everyone thinks they will be doing 3D in their living rooms, when in reality there is next to no chance of that. Another big problem is people who are relative novices using it to practice 3D. If your not good in any orientation, in reality your going to struggle when the tail blows out after a ham fisted collective input.

I don't see the point personally. If you can't chuck it around as everyone thought - indoors, then get a 250 which will fly way better, be more reliable, and most importantly, be more predictable!

Agree it looks good & if you can already pitch manage & have total tail control you can make this heli fly well. If like me your not as skilled I wonder if it will be as usefull for learning 3d I doubt it but am happy to be advised to the contrary.

For me a 250 is too big for the garden and this works fine.. Also you can pick this thing up after crashing it 10 times and it still works!

                    Hi,
Nice flying. One day I'll be able to do that
Anyhow. Can I ask how you've set your radio up for it? Are you using the stock settings from the manual or are there any tweaks you'd care to share? Thanks.
                    Cheers, Rich

A very valid point, Martin. Hopefully, I might be able to post a cr*p flyer's perspective later today. Postie usually arrives between 1 and 3pm.

Just looks like alot of fun to me. Looks like a heli you can throw around and not cry when you crash it lol.

I see this as nothing more than a little toy regardless of what it can or cant do tbh, a novelty.

I was thinking of getting one then not then was but to fly it good for 2 mins it a massive waste of time really is'nt it?

                            I wont fly it indoors

I wont fly it in the garden

I will fly it twice outdoors and be bored of it. All this for £160 or whatever ever it is.

It only seems any good for the 3D guys and I bet the novelty will wear of after a month then there will be no vids and no one talking about it. Or there will be, people that have taken a month too learn to fly it properly lmao and will show us vids of it flipping

As for best heli since the 450 Pro, I'm not too sure on that lol but it might help with sales

Completely Stock Heli using the Fast flight main rotor blades the only adjustment on the DX7 to the instructions is that we are running 85% pitch instead of 75%.
