Hobbyking Exchanges/Refunds

Howdie all,

Received a couple of Turnigy 4S batterys from Hobbyking today. Unfortunatly one of them had a very puffed cell when i opened the box it came in.

Has anyone had any experience of getting one exchanged or a refund from them?

I would like to hear your experience on this... but dont want this to turn into a slagging off thread, as from my point of view i have always had good service and batterys from them in the past.

send it back and ask for a replacement as they dont give refunds they only credit your acc .that means that if you order anything you will be paying the postage .but if you ask for a replacement they pay the postage.

I do beleive they ask you to send back the item in dispute at your cost, and then they send a replacement or credit your account -but i'm not 100% sure, either way you lose out on postage costs........ I also beleive it has to be sent back recorded delivery - which aint cheap

You are covered no problem,send it back to Germany,postage not too bad.

Cheers Chaps. Chris, this was exactly what i was looking for. Should be fine, i have sent an email with a photo to them... well about 10mins after it arrived, so everything should be hunky dory about getting a replacement.

I've got two wrapped and ready to go back too...first onels out on many, many lipos that were bad on arrival..

Do you not have to enter a warranty code on their website within 24hours of receipt of the packs

All done, RMA code all printed out, and it will be on its way to Germany tomrrow!

yes you have to enter it within 24 hours but i did mine after a week and still got a replacement lipo.

I thought I read it as 7 days for most stuff and 30 days for lipos???
In any event my past dealings have suggeted they are more flexible and sensible..folk have holidays for instance and some orders get delayed due to stock levels etc...
