  • Revlock 10 + YS91 Geometry

OK I'm having a real hard time getting the geometry right. I thought the indents on the carb were Idle, 50% and max so I've been putting my th curve to 50% to get the arm at 90 etc. Then I reread the manual and I see that the indent is infact, not 50% like the OS engines, but 40%.

So does that mean the arm on the carb should be 90 degrees to the linkage at 40%, not 50%?

    Cheers!

I normally set the linkage rod to what it says in the manual.

    Remove the servo horn

    Loosen the carb arm.

Set the collective all the way down and turn the carb arm to fully closed.

Fit the servo arm at 45degrees'ish, and tighten the carb arm.

There are 3 lines at the middle. I use the highest one of the 3 to set my 50% value with all linkage geometry at 90 degrees, then work on from there - if it binds at 100% then move the ball in a hole on the servo arm etc. You should be able to get tickover pretty close to 0% on your curve and max throttle pretty close to 100% on your curve.

But then the governor guidelines suggest you offset the geometry to help the electronics to work more efficiently, so most of that goes out of the window.

I noticed that the hover notch was not in the middle, but at 40% like the manual said. I set my geometry up so that at 40% throttle, the carb sits on that notch and is at 90deg. My end points worked out perfectly at 100-100, with 2mm above fully closed for idle, and bang on the H line.

        Cheers all!
