  • New TP batts at fastlads!

Just seen that some new 65c thunder power batts are in stock at fastlads, a bit pricey at £48 for 2250 3cell and £120 for a 2700 6cell and charge at 12c (wow) will wait and see if any reviews come out, will continue to use the nanos at a 3rd of the price

    Li-po's

Apparently going from what Ash says, any C rating above 40C is a "bunch of tosh"

And at that price they will not be selling quick thats for sure, unless they only have 3 in stock

£200 for a 6s 5000 is out of touch nowadays. The FP I got @ £150 are the limit for me and these are awesome. I cant see the TP being any better at all

Exactly! Does anyone still buy lipos for that kind of money these days when you can get Turnigy Nano-techs for a quarter of the price?

I cant find any tech info on them even at TP website!!

Its just the selling blabble everywhere and Team Pilots flying them etc etc.

I cant even charge my FP at 8C or the Turnigys at 5C cos my charging set up wont do it. It will cost about 27k I recklon (lol) to be able to charge at 60amps to get the 5mins charge time. They also big and heavy at 804g
But how cool would that be

Plus you can get the 45C packs for $167 which is about £103

i think these packs are good but more for sponsored pilots. could you imagine how much two 7s packs will be for the logo 700.
years ago i would always jump on the newsest pack or equipment but have slowed down alot because i find im not too scared to fly the heli.
this is why im now the align fan man.

i use flight power and hyperion pack in my helis but have two unused turnigy packs that would have been used in my 700 but never got round to flying it. i think the only difference i think there is with all these packs is.
              1 internal resistance
2 longer cycle life (no loss of power)
              3 price
4 i cant remember the other benefits as ive just gone brain dead

one thing i will say is i dont think they get any hotter when they are on fire in your heli

MMM.........Have had ThunderPower and FlightPower packs in the past, and not been impressed by their longevity for the cost, especially the TP.

Both these FP and TP claim to be new. The FP certainly are as they now their Nano Tech's versions also.

I've got some FP ones and they do out perform the HK NT I like so much but obviously I wont know just how long they last yet. They claim 500 cycles over their life but after how many cycles will the power start to fade.

The TP claim no loss of power for 300 cycles but no life expectancy

The Turnigys claim nothing that I'm aware.

If the FP can last that many cycles then that works out to 30p per flight. If they manage to last 300 flights without loss of power whcih they do not claim then thats 50p per flight. The TP's will be 66p per flight if they last the 300 cycles without loss of power.

But its getting them to last that long and not damaging them, how long do they last? 500 flights for some is months but for me thats prob a 2 years maybe more for me, maybe more for others as well.

Is there really that much of a differance between the Turnigy's, FP's and TP's to justify the circa £80 & £130 extra cost
