    OH MATE
what a subject, coz i suffer from "short term memory loss"
I dont get distrutive or anything
but i just hate that i have to keep going over the same thing again and again and again, (my better half thinks its funny)
I can spend 2-3 hours doing the pitch on my heli's coz i keep thinking i forgot to do something, so i end up doing it maybe
8-9 times and then i am never sure that its right, and its the same with everything i do with my heli's i spend more times checking i done something than i do flying............ dont get me started on charging batteries....................

helis are frustrating sometimes, but i think thats why we love em Its the cost of crashing that niggles me, don't really mind the re-build or setup.
I actually shake with adrenaline when I fly, its weird, it calms abit afterwards, I think its fear coupled with excitement I used to get frustrated in the learning stage and nearly jacked it in, but its really worth it once you have cracked it, well nearly

I can handle all kinds of stress from life and deal with it. But when it comes to helis .....silence.......no one speaks......( shhh...leave him alone ,he's gone mad)
        Long live the flybar.

Mate, I was so shocked when Nicki told me. She said I was bright red and just mumbling, then next thing, I whipped out the admiral and did the deed! Crazy. I sought help after that episode as I was fed up of my temper getting the better of me (cost me £1500 that one). Kinda wish I hadn't now as they found loads of things that kind of all make sense now. So, I am officially crazy. Great! Weird thing is I am really placid 99% of the time, just when I go off I really go! I've never hurt anyone though (that didn't deserve it, i.e thieves and people who hurt my friends, animals or loved one's). I once lost my rag with my ol' man and smacked him over the head with a ham and cheese baguette. I was devastated, I love ham and cheese!

Anyway, I think it is all worth it in the end. The fun parts outweigh the annoyances.

Haha, nice one Nick. My mates always say that Align need to invent a foam heli that can actually fly so that I can kick it and stamp on it without worry!

Look at the funcopter for those attributes..

I've lost my temper only a few times.. when younger...'cos if I do then damage occurs...classic was at school when dropped something by the chemistry bench and missed it picking it up...lost it over feeling stupid when I tried to move the bench...so gave it a heave and the darned thing came up shedding parquet flooring, water and gas pipes that it wad all bolted too......

Maybe you need to include a punch-ball and beta-blockers in your field kit.............

Quote "After also destroying £2'500 worth of heli's in one afternoon I threw my dx7SE into a river. Lol. Just saw red."

This is one question I have to ask, why put so much bling on a 450, the Vbar must have cost more than the whole 450?

What Heli was it that cost £2.5k?

I can understand you frustration, but if you have this anger issue etc etc, why the hell do you spend so much money on helis?, god if you chucked a dx7 away then you should just give up now, I have never said to anyone before that they should give up

In the hobby u have to be able to save a few quid here and there in readiness for the next crash, but to smash up Heli / tx's etc before you have even crashed them shows your in the wrong hobby.

Sorry to be so blunt but I just get the feeling that u are just wasting your time, if you bin stuff without even knowing they are the cause of issue then you never going to win.

I crashed £2'5k's worth of heli, I didn't break them. 700nitro, 500ESP and then 450 Pro. After which, throwing the DX7 in the river seemed like a small thing. May as well complete the set eh!?

Hi, I'm in management for years and I know a lot about stress.
To hit the self destruction button is forbidden.

The effect for me on flying helis is very good.
It's my indicator for my stress condition.
And if I don't want to fly or try to avoid flying then it's time for recreation.
So I switch to running, swimming, exercises in the gym.
After this flying is really fun and I love it.

You didn't get addicted to drinking brake fluid did you?.... Should have been able to stop no problem!!

Seriously I feel for ya mate- this hobby does drive me to distraction, especially when I have very limited time to build, setup and fly. If things don't go to plan it can get very frustrating, but I'm sure that's the same for most peeps let alone like yourself with a condition which only exasperates things!

Good job for most the positives far out way the negatives.

I have to admit I'm completely the other way. Yes, I get ****ed off repairing after I've put it in but if I don't get my flying fix I get up tight. As long as I'm flying I'm a happy bunny. I've had my fair share of damage but 2 minutes after the doh, I'm normally laughing cause the boys are taking the ****.

Theres a guy in the club sounds a bit like you Dan, he comes to the field up tight, flies okay, but just can't calm down. Everything is over the top dramatic (not you) everything is a problem that is going to end up with it being chucked in the hedge.

If the hobby got me like that I'd give up, it's my release to be up the club at the weekend or after work.
