Just finished rebuilding the tail and replacing the TT gears on the 360 again. Only this time it wasn't something I could do anything about.
I went to the local park to get a bit more practice in at 5. There's a nice square plot at the side which is flat and out of the way. I usually get a few people watching but today I had some idiot tell his bulldog to "Go get it"...
He's done it before to me but last time I was on the ground and just moved the dog away. This time I was about 1m up and it came running snarling and everything. He didn't call the dog back, he sent the dog towards it.
From that point on nothing good was going to happen, I managed to keep it away from the dog but everything was happening so fast by this point and I was worried the dog was still coming so the heli came in pretty hard.
Once he could see it was damaged he called the dog back and kept walking. I was so shocked I couldn't even say anything other than thanks for nearly killing your dog.
Spent the evening sorting it out. The flybar was bent slightly ( although not sure how as nothing else is damaged at all ) which has gone back to straight easy. I've straightened the tail back to square and replaced the gears. Looks like I was lucky and thats all that was damaged.
I just don't understand how anyone can be stupid enough to set a dog onto a heli. How did he think that was going to end?!?
Anyway that's the end of my trips to the park. Will have to find somewhere else to fly now
