Well done but unlucky, next time go REALLY high & maybe try some flips 1st rather than a loop as they are much easier & easier to recover from.

Yep, I remember feeling like that. The thought of the heli ever going upside down, weather in a loop, a flip or any other way of getting it the wrong way up scared the life outa meOriginally posted by dogbiscuit View Postnow you have put me off ever trying it (not that i am anwhere near trying it anyway, but even if i was i would now be too scared)
But that didn't last too long. The more you fly these things the more comfortable you start to feel. Then one day before you know it, and possibly before you have time to even think about it, you find yourself pulling the stick back and watching your heli go over
Its great fun and the noise from the blades is brilliant, even on a 450
Then, it doesn't take much longer before you cant stop yourself looping, flipping and turning the dam thing upside down. Anything to get it over
I know, I know, your thinking, not me, I will never be able to do that. But trust me, you will
Just keep flying and practising. You'll know when the time is right.

I remember the fear of switching of to idle up when I first started flying which is sort of strange because nothing really happens - you can just fly upside down.Originally posted by tiddler View PostYep, I remember feeling like that. That depends on your throttle curves, going from a vaiable speed of 0-50-65-70-70 to 85 flat or striaght to 100 flat is VERY scary for a newbeeYes the big sigpic is coming back

Having just watched it several times. Its a bit hard to be sure, but it looks like the tail went of to the right. In fact it looked more like a stall turn without the recovery to me.

Don't worry yes I know it's not nice but we all do it, it will get better and before you know it you will be pulling loops with giving it a thought.
I remember the first time I went inverted, all was OK then it started to get out of shape so I flipped it the right way up and it started to race towards the ground, when I picked up all the bits I suddenly remembered why I was still holding in negative pitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
