Well had the maiden and 4 more flights, the weather turned a little and it was very windy(no change there then).

my thoughts on it so far very good, but I dont think I would rushout and change all the machines over, but let me get used to it and get it setup fully maybe ill think differently after that. The first flight was a bit of a non event to be honest apart from because of the 26 degree pitch swing the first time I bought it into the hover it was a little lively on the pitch lol. Other than that it flew very nicely, but was a little slow on aeleron so when I got back I tried livening it up a little and it was a whole lot better. This was all done from the basic setting in the unit when purchased.

I do have a couple of problems with it, my servo discs are obviouslt too big as Ive got the slidders down all the way and im still getting 13+ degrees on the head, its just too much and im tending to bog the engine. although it got easier as I got used to it, but it aint right and needs changing so the slidders are in the recommended band. What servo horns are people using?

The other problem is the governor as I said before cant get the revlok to recognise the channel change from the unit, not sure why, anyone using a revlock with a Vbar?

other option is get a sensor and use the vbars own governor.
        All the best
        Tony.

On the 600 I would think you will be better off using the Align FBL servo horns

          Glad it went well

And if I were in yuor position I would make use of their own gov

            Tony

Your servo arms should be around 10mm from centre to ball.

As for your revlock problem a revlock sensor won't work as it's not a digital sensor and V-Bar need digital sensors.

I'm not sure which one will work with nitro but i'm sure someone on HF or Mr Mel is the man to ask.

            Hope it helps

hi paul no Im not trying to get the sensor to work with it as I know it wont Im trying just to run the revlok normally but take the gain lead from the vbar unit, I see the channel moving with the flight modes but this doesnt translate in the revlock.

If you have the align 3G 600 head, I had to use 9mm holes on my Futaba servos to get the Vbar sliders in the sweet spot. 9mm was hard to find, eventually ended up with QuickUK wheels. I am going to play about with longer and shorter balls on the swash, or maybe even using standard metal grips, with extensions, which are longer than the standard 3G grips.

I was told the geometary on the fbl align head is not ideal with the vbar. which put me off getting one, I think the one ive got is the RXJ bought it off a mate of mine, the horns im using at present are the quick uk ones, the holes unfortunately just dont come in enough. so I think its definately a new set of servo horns needed.

Can't remember align 610's is it jr or futaba needed I think its jr off the top of my head

I thought it was Futaba, need someone with these servos to look at the align wheels and find the letter.

Futaba and Align are the same servo output
