  • Cutting CNC Neatly..

Just order the Align CNC Elevator servo mount.

Ideally though, I need around 10mm taken off the bottom of it (where it bolts to the frames). Is anyone able to do this?

I've got the KDE one. Not owning even a saw, I cut it using nothing but my small vice and a saw blade. It's easily done.
Cutting the screws, that's another story. Only 2.5 mm, but those (KDE) were tough as nails

BTW, double-check that there remains sufficient thread.

Take a pic of it and post up on here so i can see exactly what you want/are trying to achieve and then ill do it for you no problem at all. Just need to see its size to make sure i got the correct vice for holding it to get a nice straight neat cut without it vibing etc Youll never know its been cut done this way as its how alot of this stuff is made.

                Cheers Lee

The edge that joins the frame, needs some material taken off. Ill work out how much and most likely cut my current plastic one to the size needed.

Its the large surface closest to you.

Best thing to do is mark it up and send it to me so i know exactly which bit you want removing. Or send the plastic one to size with it. Shouldnt be a problem. Very easily done. pm you my work address.

When the Vbar is on it, you need to change the servo horns.

The balls have to goo on the outside of the horns, otherwise they ball links hit the servo case.

The rods are then at an angle, and quite close to the frames, ill stick a pick up later on.

Just looking at that pic... if you take 10mm off the end are the bolt holes still gonna be long enough/have plenty thread left on them to secure it properly?

Good point. Maybe you could take a smaller amount off each end instead?
