  • aaargh, what to do...

    Guys, before I start, I'm sorry about my what to do threads recently but I really do appreciate you opinions, ice decides to keep the atom thats for certain, but what to do with the cash burning a great hole in my pocket, I have 220pounds ish if I don't go flybarless, and around 300 and something ish if I do (selling gyro and rx for vbar)

    But what to do, do I go flybarless, do I upgrade esc as I know nothing about the one on it, no markings or anything, hell, do I buy a 250gb, too many option running through my head. If you pick other please say what, help me out guys, I'm a man on the edge

      with £220 you be able to get the mikardo mini
      best bet save a little more and get the full mikardo
      i have been flying planks for years and helis for about 7 and mikardo was around when i started to fly helis it was not untill align started there g3 shite that every one wanted flybarless
      im even thinking about going fbl
      bestx 3G etc may be ok but in my books mikardo are the best
      its a exspencive change over
      if you going to go fbl buy once buy right mikardo

        It's only going on a 500 so is a full sized v bar necessary, will sell gyro and rx if I go fbl, meaning I would be able to buy mini v, compass conversion, and fbl blades if needed

          If no probs with esc then Vbar & in time go for a new esc, by going fbl won't make greatest of difference by stretching to 550.

            this is the thing a mini v bar is of for eletric and some nitro but the full v bar will see you good for a long time to come

                  Nope, just something a club member said, is it necessary, is there other stuff I could spend my dollar on, I had worked everything out for fbl, but then couldn't decide about the decisions above

                      Hi Kev, i voted other lol
                      I've had an Atom as you know, not tried V-bar yet.
                      However, if you want my advice, i'd sell your other Atom or anything else you don't need and dont bother with stretching or FBLing them, and get a T-Rex 550 3G FBL. Absolutly love mine.

                        Save your money, learn to fly what you've got to a good standard, sorry if your already there. Then, when you've got a lump in the bank buy a slice of awesomeness.

                            So at the moment we've got vbar leading, with other close behind, can't say save for some awesomeness is very likely though

                            The esc if I go that way will be a cc of some description, problem I have with current esc, is the exceptionally soft start, its so slow if I went full throttle it would still take 15 seconds to get anywhere near lift of speed but suppose that is no thing

                              Much better than accidently knocking the throttle to full while all connected on the bench before take off. At least this way you got time to hit hold before it chops your arm off
