have you tried sub-trim to get the servo horns 90deg?

This should be the last resort and is not usually necessary.

The trick is to rotate the servo horn to check each position in turn as the arms will be in a slightly different position each time.

There is nothing unusual about the X50 in this regard, you just have to try each one until you get the closest match.

When I built my X50 I was able to avoid the use of sub-trim completely, but worst case a click or two is not bad, just shouldn't normally be needed.

Do also check that you have the rods set to the correct length and both identical.
