      A little note to all....

There were at least half a dozen of us there some making coffee just out of sight of the van and one flying.... Theiving shitbags drove up and grabbed the closest thing they could get. (my van was closest to the gate) and legged it. Martin ran out and got the reg of the van just as it was making good its escape. we checked what was missing my knight and raido. Dont know the insurance situation yet probably not covered as it wasnt bolted / locked / chained down in triplicate as it was having its battery charged !... you cant evan get a coffee these days.

So beware dont let any of your stuff out of your sight... I wish i had a heli in the air i would have been sorely tempted to fly it in the direction of the local scumbags... Would have been worth the cost of a pair of blades....

Very sorry to read this thread, but it does highlight just how ballsey these scumbags are. if you catch them, perhaps a lesson in removing some of the balls would be in order. I trust you have some form of insurance cover Steve and good luck getting the gear back

I'm not having a dig or highlighting the obvious to make you feel even more worse than you do already but from what I can gather your heli was on a table outside near an open/unlocked gate and there was noone in sight.

When I fly unless its in the air my kit is always in front of me or in the boot.

As for insurance I doubt you would be covered as you willingly left your kit unattended in an open space, you/everyone knows that insurance don't like to pay up so had it been indoors or locked away etc then that would probably warrant a payout.

I hope you get hold of the c*nt though and when you do give him an RCHA spanking.

If you need a heli, I have a Blade you can borrow until its sold/you buy it/you get another and its not 100% complete but it'll keep you flying.

Not a pleasant read at all Steve. I hope one of your insurances is up to it as we can reasonably assume that the fuzz won't be.

There's a naughty little demon sitting on my shoulder making me say it........

On the plus side, at least you're no longer stuck with an obsolete Knight helicopter that you'll never be able to sell, and can use the insurance (fingers crossed for you there) settlement to get something more sensible.

And, what chance have the thieving twats got of selling it as well? Who wants a Knight these days?

                      Couldn't resist.

Sorry to hear this Steve, i pretty much leave my car lying unlocked the whole time im up at our filed, usually with heli gear lying strewn across my back seat. Think i might have to change that!!

Hopefully the old bill will avoid making a **** of it and get the arseholes that have done this

Edit: The swearing filter is barmy, imagine letting the word arsehole through but not c0ck

sorry to hear this steve-but-i do look forward to info on getting them as i doubt they stole a van purely to steal a heli so good chance you have caught them red-handed as it were. i assume the police are on their way round there right now.....fingers crossed.

please keep us updated on the progress of catching the scumbags.

                          cheers

Pointing the obvious or the offer of the Blade?

That wasn't my intention as I pointed out but in this day and age you have to be more safety conscious and employ the toddler routine of 'its mine and im not sharing so i'll keep a tight grip on it', I am truly annoyed for him as like you say its a relaxing hobby, well until your arse puckers up in a scary moment and it ****es me off more that people just take shit cause theyre too stupid to go out and earn it, I bet the guy that nicked it has absolutely no idea what make/model it is or what any of the sticks on the Tx do and just did it cause it looked 'pretty'
