Spectrum DX8 Registration

Hi guys, I am having a lot of grief with this Tx. I left a thread on Sunday and received a few replies but nothing positive !! I even emailed HH in the US but 7 days on and no help.

Any ideas on sorting out stupid f-ing reg no. Have tried loads of configs.

I think I will take it back to model shop and stay with Futaba T10 CAH 2.4 ghz.

Everyone who has had trouble registering it has been the users fault with Letters / Numbers usually the number zero = 0 or the capital letter O

Sorry, but corrrect me if I'm wrong. The TX will work fine out of the box, the updates are great and granted will give you a few extra features, but they won't stop you using it if you don't do them. Just use the TX, enjoy it, and in the mean time, allow HH uk to look in to the problem and reply to you. They will sort it, an I'm sure in no time it will be registered and you can download the latest updates

Mine is only 2 days old Jamie but UPS are collecting it on Monday for a hardware change at HH UK next week.

I could have used mine forever but a new radio.... no updates.

It has to be done sometime, might aswel be now as later.

If all else fails, contact AndyKunz (Spektrum Staff) on RCGroups.

He posts in the Radio section there and has helped others with this problem.

Not all were user problems, in the early days there were some database issues at their end, but I've nit heard of any recently.

I'm not sure that HH UK have any access to sort this directly, they just refer to the USA.

If the radio is already on 1.4 then yes, I'd have no issues just using it, nothing vital in 2.0.

V2 is the latest firmware. Mine is v1.04 like yours

If your PID number ends in ****12X you could be in the same situation as me.

Just kidding guys I've got a DX8 as well but in my case it was down to my computer. Went to my sisters and did it there in a matter of minutes after spending two nights trying to get the serial No. Recognised.

They are collecting mine on Monday, contact them and get yours away too.
