evening all. just built my trex 600 3g and was checking to see how well it was balanced and found it is very nose heavy, i cant realy move any of the electrics about so im looking for some tips on the best way to get the balance right like were the best place to put weight especially were it wont be seen to much

Half fill the tank with fuel and see what it's like then. You don't need any weight, mine is sligthly tail heavy with a full tank.

Dont think you'll get the perfect balanced heli more so nitros so I'd doubt it would effect flight.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

I'm a bit confused, it was at 7 with nothing in the tank then you added half a tank (weight behind the main shaft) and it went further nose heavy? Are you holding it by the head block 90 degrees to the floor with the skids away from you? Is it 7 then?

What have you got upfront, have you got a pic. Everything on mine is upfront and it's about 7 with half a tank

There's your weight problem, as your using a bigger probably heavier battery you will need to compensate for it by shifting as much as possible backward unless you wish to build longer leads and shift your battery if it all possible.

If you want to keep the big battery pack, you could move the rudder servo to a boom-mounted option. That will help to move the c/g slightly backwards without adding any more weight. You could also swap the throttle servo for a mini one to reduce weight at the front.

i dont think i can do much about moving the battery the only other option i can think of is to get some of those stick on weights like wat they use for planes and maybe put some just above the fuel tank on the inside of the main frames. but then i suppose you got the problem of adding more weight making the heli heavyer

i think ill see what it flys like then maybe change the throttle servo and move the tail servo as you said that would get it some where near better than adding weight be like flying a tank

You'll find with that battery it needs 5grams on the tail fin.

Go to your local car tyre dealer and ask them for a 5g Blind Weight (about 20 pence worth)

It comes with its own sticky pad, so stick it somewhere on the tail - I trapped mine between the boom and tail fin so it can't come off during flight.

Overall it makes little difference to flight but its noticably better on pyros.

                            Best of luck
