  • align 3g tail gyro help

hi all ive just built my trex 600 3g . have set it all up but cant seem to tame the tail down. im using the futaba fg12 and if i lower the end points down on the tail its still got max travel on the tail.
does any one know how to slow the tail down a bit on these align 3g units

    regards loopking

add some expo on the rudder channel in the TX and also pull your Travel Adjust/End Points in on the rudder channel. This will slow the piro rate. ie if its 100/100 then lower too 80/80 Lower the numbers slow the piro rate, higher the number = faster piro rate. The expo just tames it a bit further around the centre. Dont add too much though Something like -5 to -15 will do. minus will tame the centre down and plus figures will make the servo sharper around centre.

You need to lower the travel adjust 'gain' to 70% or bit less.
I can check mine later & pm you the setup if you've not solved it.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

Tva on rudder = rate( how fast). not how far it moves, how far it travels is done in the tail set up on the 3G

I think that if you are testing this on the bench, you will still see full travel.

You put a command in for the tail to move, and the gyro will try to move the tail..... BUT on the bench, it wont.

I suspect its behavior in the air will be different.

But Im sure someone will jump in if im wrong !!
