never forget lipo's are dangerous!!!!!

ok, so here I was minding my own business, soldering my lipo's with the new soldering iron, when in a moment of madness(believe me!!!!) I cut the old connector off, STRAIGHT ACROSS POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE!!!! The results were sparks everywhere and a blown up set of knipex cutters, pictured below, this is just a reminder to myself, and to others, to sometimes stop and think about what we are doing before we go ahead and do it, I was planning to cut it off like this to get the exact same length of cable, being an electrician, I should really know better than this!!!!!! It came as a littler bit of a shock, but like I said above, they are dangerous, so just take a little time in working on them, and dont do what I did, because I know this could of been alot worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i know, that makes it alot worse, I have an exam later on testing, I put it down to nerves from that hahaha, you know that knackered lipo from my other thread... think its definately dead now

I was just joshing with you. We all make mistakes, at least you won't do it again in a hurry

I've done it, but it was a 3 cell and the cutters weren't damaged. By the look of those cutters, your's was a fair bit larger.

It is one of those things you only do once.
