  • Help with electrics

Is there an equation anywhere or a website that i can work out flight times for a model with a given weight, battery, esc and motor etc.???

I flew a new electric plank today weighing in at about 2lbs, 290w motor and 40a esc, 3s 1300mah lipo.

flew nice but not particularly fast etc, would like to play around with a few numbers to see what i can get.

    Cheers

There is software that people used to use. With lipos and brushless motors though you can make things do what you want. Speed is limited by drag. When force = drag a model stops accelearating. Higher speed means thinner wings usually. Props push the air past at a certain speed. For high speed you need fast airspeed from the prop. High volts or motor kv and high prop thread.
