Damn its confusing!
No, the 1900 has more. If in doubt go for the 1400 or 1600kv. I just liked the idea of having a higher kv engine so the power was there when I wanted it & I didn't overwork it when I didn't.
You'll now start scratching your head regarding pinion choice to engine size. Please feel free to step in Ashley. It's been a while...You can teach a man everything. Apart from experience.

Although the Kv is important because of the gear ratio of the model you also need to take into account the wattage of the motor.would a scorpion 1100kv motor be to much for a trex 500?
If you are thinking for instance of the Scorpion 4025-1100 or even the 4020-1100 motor then I would say that is way too much power for a T-Rex 500.
If you find the spec of the original T-Rex 500 motor and then look here http://www.scorpionsystem.com/catalog/motors/ you will get an idea of which motors may or may not be right.Last edited by Andy from Sandy; 07-02-2011, 06:56 PM.
