Hi all,
Does anyone know anything about using escrow and payment partner?
I have been talking to a guy via e-mail about a car he advertised on gumtree.He said he is in the swedish air force and he is currently in sweden but he has been allowed to take 2 days leave to bring the car back to the uk.I thought it was bullshit to start with but i have checked up all i can and also spent 15 quid on a reg check and it all seems legit.The guy has said that he is reluctant to take his only 2 days leave to bring the car back and risking me not turning up.He said his friend bought a bike from biketrader and used an escrow company to handle the cash.
Here is an extract from his last email;
My friend used www.payment-epartner.com for a bike purchase on autotrader and he was very pleased. This is a British company and is also recommended by autotrader at: http://www.traderblogfiles.com/safe-trades/. All you have to do is to register on their website and then I need your user name so I can set up the transaction. You can read how escrow works here: www.payment-epartner.com/howitworks.php
I am sure you won't find anything wrong with the car. I can even give you two day to test the car at any inspection service you prefer, before deciding to keep it. The company will only release the money to me only when you confirm the car is exactly as described and you have decided to keep it. I believe this is the safest way since you don't pay anything to me. I reassure you, the car has no outstanding finance, as it has been fully paid for.
I would appreciate your answer as soon as possible so I know what to do. If you can let me what is your phone number, we can get in touch faster.
I'll bring the car with the log book, full service history, manual, 2nd key and we can sign the documents right away. One more thing I saw that they accept paypal and bank transfer as payment method which is 100% secure. Let me know your decision as soon as possible.
What do you reckon?
