  • Gyro mounting on 500 sized

Hi all, ordered the pads for my ds760 gyro, was wondering how you guys fixes them to your 500, it says in the manual the thick pad will be fine for a 500 sized heli, on other pics though I have seen thick, metal, thin being used, any advice would be welcomed, thanks

I've used one thick pad with both a Quark and DS760 on my 500- both with great success.

I've seen people adding metal plates to a plastic cased Quark - mainly due to it being so light and thereby adding mass to the dampening. Had no need on my metal cased version.

It's trial and error as to what damping solution works for your setup. Try one pad and see how it goes from there.

I run a thick pad, metal plate and then a thin pad on my 500. Gyro is a GP750 mounted in the standard position and all good so far...
