The HBs are much cheaper but survive very well. When taking the gears off, make two piles left and right in the order you take them off. If you mix them up then look at another servo that hasn't been taken apart.
Also, the 'trick' I found when re-assembling was (from memory) to install the output shaft early on - maing it much easier to get it aligned on the pot shaft cleanly.
Normally, you couldn't do this, because the other gears need to go in first.
However, with the other (small) shaft removed, many of these gears can be slid in with the output shaft in place, then secured by the small shaft.
This seemed to make it all quite easy - except for the tight fitting bearing on the outpit shaft...
