I have a 4000mAh 6S Lipo on mine, purely because it was a touch cheaper from Hobbyking than a 4S.

Previously i had a Kong Power 22C, 2200mAh 4S Lipo on it, and it did a great job of starting all heli's up to 90 size without issue. 6S is overkill IMO

To futher add to my post from before.

I have been using a 6S pack to start my Align with no problems, but today i tried to start my Fury with it, and it spun the engine so fast it actually engaged the clutch, not good. So i'll be selling the 6S pack soon and going back to 4S, assuming that a 4S pack doesn't engage the clutch either, which i'll check beforehand, with the failing Kong Power 4S it replaced.

There is no such thing as overkill.

The dynatron is rated up to 24v, so 6S is fine, and if you wire it up right using the right type of switch you can switch it to 2 3S packs in parallel when starting smaller engines, which is about the same as a 12v battery.

With a 50 size there is no need for 6S, but in winter it can help a lot with a 90.

2 x 4300mah 3S LiPO in parallel.
Will start any 90.
You couldn't flatten them if you tried.
