The general consensus appears to be approx 5000mah 6s. I've got 3 but not flown it yet, it will be maidened on Sat/Sun

I think the optimal would be at least 5000 mah 6s 40c if possible.

I'm lucky in that I've got align 5200 6s 40c lipos which are the dogs thingy's, but they are expensive and frankly there are others out there at a much lower cost but with similar power.

No doubt others will chime in.

      Cheers,
      Simon

I've heard it said that 6s 4000-4200mah 40c is optimal as it provides sufficient power with low weight (compared with 5000 packs). I guess it's a matter of personal taste for power, endurance etc, but clearly 4000-5000 seems to be the range.

6s 3000 is more a trex 500-size pack in my opinion (at least that's what I'm gonna use on my 500!)

I have 1 x 5200mah 30 -70c and this gives good duration (5.5 - 6 mins) and perfect COG and have also recently had delivered, so not yet flown 5800mah 30c packs which also give perfect COG.

I think generally the Turnigy 5000mah 40c packs get rated the most on here for cost against quality.

To be fair I think if you fly hard 3D you will need 40c + but 30c will suffice, but for other flying mild 3D or just FFF or sports then you dont need 40c or above.

I dont fly 3D and use 30c and 25c packs and they are plenty for my style. As for the mah to use I cant see it balancing properly with anything under 5000. I have Nano tech 5000 batts that are too light for it.

6s 5000 30c gives me a comfortable 5:30min and I could easily stretch that to 6mins and be at the 80%
