I see the flybar cage has a slight V shape.
I would expect it to be fitted the other way up, the same way I've seen the V on other helis), so the flybar cage doesn't hit the underside of the blade grips on full cylic (that is one of the cyclic limits on the align head).
Not sure the TT360 is a clone of anything as such, although I think the tail is supposed to be the same as a RAVE, the tail gears are anyway.

The cage doesn't have a V shape, must be the angle of the photo. It's all the right way up as far as I can tell.

      Hi Pete,

I was shocked to see that photos about the tail boom, maybe someone at factory had a bad day when building it, but it just shouldn't happan like that, I will give their QC people a hard time this weekend when i talk to them.
Please send back any parts you may think is not right, we will cover your return postage as well, very sorry, i will send replacement parts direct to you.

You will always get great service from PhoenixTech / Andy

As demonstrated In the above post
"Anger and Frustration bring the best out of my flying ability.. because generally I don't give a shit either if the machine hit's the deck or stay's in the air - both will accomplish satisfaction, but most of all it exerts the feeling of flying conservatively. - Callum"

ps: please keep me informed with your building, we are keen to know how you find about the building, setting up motor, esc, servos, gyro, and flying performance. I have regular internet meeting with the factory people, give us sometime, we can make a change.
          cheers

Well all I can say is that I'm 100% sure now that I did right by both using Dave Fisher and buying Phoenixtech. The response from Andy is quite refreshing and I've no doubt I'll be up and running again soon.

I was intending this to be a build thread as I started taking the photos so I will continue once I get the replacement bits back with me

                  Oh dear. I'm a numpty...

Got the new tail from Andy @ Phoenixtech during the week so yesterday started to take it apart to loctite etc. Well there I was sorting out the tail slider assembly and what did I go and use thinking it was grease? Yup the green fluid in the bottle marked "Bearing" Only after finding it stuck fast to the shaft did I realise this wasn't grease

Glad I didn't use it anywhere else while I was building.

Tried everything but it was stuck fast, until this morning I pinched the wifes nail polish remover and it came off after a bit of a struggle. I've even ordered replacement parts as I didn't think I was going to get these bits apart.

Oh well now I can get on with building again. I feel such a newbie

As an aside, the service I've had from Andy was excellent. I'll be making plenty of suggestions for improvements in the labelling and the manual though.

Oh dear this is turning into a saga

Decided to try the blades on last night and check the pitch. -ve pitch at centre point and no where near enough +ve pitch available. hmmm I think. Then I look again at the servo horns. Yup put them on upside down so they're not level when the servos are centred. dhop. Forgot they were handed. I'd already chopped off the unused side, so it's a good job there's some different ones in the packets...

On the plus side, other than setup she's ready. Booked in to take it over to Dave Fisher next weekend for set up and test flying before I get around to crashing it lol

Laugh away, it's all part of the learning process. I have to say I really thought I'd be less of a newbie with the build as I used to race RC cars years ago so should know all these things. It'll be sorted easy enough

Will get some pics up hopefully this week. Will sort out the servo horns tomorrow night and then all done other than programming the ESC.

                            She's finished at last...

So finally the TT360 is finished! I wasn't keen on the battery strap that comes with it so I ordered some Scorpion Lock Straps from FastLads and they turned up today.

                            So here she is

Thought it'd be rude not to use some of the Savox stickers that came with the servos

Wiring leaves a lot to be desired. This is the bit I've found really difficult, getting the wiring tidy when there's so much spare wire.

Had to get the dremel out to give some clearance for the servos as the swash links rubbed slightly on one side. So I put a matching "notch" in each side of the canopy. I could have left it but I didn't want them binding even if a tiny bit.

Set-up wise, well who knows... I haven't set up the ESC, and the pitch needs setting up properly, but otherwise I hope it's all sorted. I'm going to see Dave Fisher on Sunday for him to give it the once over and set it up properly. Weather's not looking good though for the test flight.
