  • Looking for an empty fuel bottle...

    Yup!

I seek a fuel bottle that will fit into my flight box. I'd like it to hold a gallon of fuel, but be more rectangular in shape... not like my current Magnum bottle I have.

Then, to add to this, I'm looking for a cap that I can fit the fuel pipe to, the outside end, and on the inside, it dangles down to the bottom of the bottle, so thatI don't need to constantly remove the cap, drop a fuel line in, refuel, then bring out the fuel line out, dripping fuel all over the place, and my hands.

Know where I can get such a thing?

      Hi

I use a set of these (second item down)

      http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/ac...DubroAccs.html

This I fitted to an old 1/2 gallon Model Technics bottle and fuels my Heli loverly

Great value as I have used them since 1998 and have not had any spillage.

      Cheers

You can make a cap, just get some brass tubing from the model shop. Drill two clearance holes in cap, push 2 pieces of brass tubing through the holes, fix with epoxy. Bit of fuel tubing hanging down inside bottle with clunk on end, and small piece of fuel tubing outside of bottle over 2 tubes to seal off when not in use and your sorted

Aye, if I had a drill, if I knew what epoxy is and if I had a 'clunk'(what ever that is).

OK, will give it a bash then.

This is what I use to look flash !!!

                  http://www.stevewebb.co.uk/index.php...NICS&area=ACCS

I use this on a 2 Lt can when flying from our field thats a long walk from the car... I also have a one gallon sq MT can in the big flight box where I have drilled the plastic cap and fitted brass pipes made on my lathe but you can drill under size holes in a plastic can top and push some brass or copper tube in with a little CA will do Ok !!

I drop a fuel line down with a JP metal £1.00 fuel filter on the end to make it sit at the bottom.
