That would depend entirely on the type of sponsorship you receive!
Getting everything free is an extreme rarity.

Thunder Tiger must be rubbing their hands with glee as all the money keeps pouring in from kit sales and spares for their aged design..
The reason the Raptor does not fly as good as most newer models is because of the head,if you stick an underslung TDG head,a T Rex head or a Knight head on to the thing it will fly much better
But why should TT bother to improve the design properly other than throwing a few pointless upgrades at it and a new colour scheme when people will happily keep buying them..
I have flown Raptors for a long time and my Sceadu,Knight Sports and T Rex 600`s all fly more stable and true meaning less workload for the pilot,,the difference really is very noticable once you are into aerobatics especially

ive been flying for 9 months and can really notice a huge difference between my old raptor 30, raptor titan and the new trex 600E. its very naive to say that they are above the ability of 90% of people on here, and suggests that you may not have tried anything else.

Er and notice the parts quality on the Raptor is better as wellOriginally posted by AndersUK View PostBecause even a novice can notice the improvement on the stability and accuracy with the way the knight flies.

The plastic on Raptors is very good compared to Align and Compass but that's it.
A novce could learn to hover on model with the cheapest non digital servos, say 3001s or 591s and wooden woodies - but give him/her a heli with some powerful digitals and some CF blades and he'shge will find it much easier and proberbly learn faster.
I expect the same goes for the model, learn on a decent heli and it will be easer than messing about on some old piece of tat - so yes a novice will notice the difference and benifit as much as anyone else.Clones are bad
.... that includes Align ones

Knight plastic and Screws than you very much.
Knight pro metal Tail mount breaks in flight and actually recorded on another website never got a lot of meantion here though.
So hum...
Knight plastic vs Raptor.. Raptor
Screws Allen bolts Knight putty VS Raptors Raptor wins
Metal tail servo mount... Raptor wins
I know a lot of you fly Knights and will defend them but there not for everyone and the Truth maybe they fly well IF you know what your doing. Out of the Box Value wise the T.T wins hands down for a beginner.
Add Blades and Muffler into and the quality sorry Raptor Wins vs the Sport and vs a Knight Pro.

The metal tail servo Knight Pro mount has long since been modified
Hows your tail hub on that Titan?
The Knight Sport is the same spec as the Raptor 50SE but its half the price,,the SE is even dearer than the superior Knight 3d and the new PRO version of the T Rex 600
Admit it,,Thunder Tiger are ripping heli fliers offLast edited by ChrisB; 05-06-2007, 07:44 PM.

I'm probably a case in point. I rekon I learned alot quicker because I had a 3D.Originally posted by Thomas View PostA novce could learn to hover on model with the cheapest non digital servos, say 3001s or 591s and wooden woodies - but give him/her a heli with some powerful digitals and some CF blades and he'shge will find it much easier and proberbly learn faster.

A sorted heli inspires you with confidence and encourages you to fly better.Slow Mo Blade 550x

Disc, that's what I was trying to say - TT stuff is better quality in a few areas, I was talking flying and wether a novice would benifit.
Saying that the parts quality on my 3D was excellent, a vast improvment on the original Pro - just shows that Compass have taken note of people problems and fixed them.Clones are bad
