The 600Nitro will get sorted over time, but IMHO the 3D is a better designed heli, more heavy duty and a better layout.

ALIGNS marketing of this heli, paricularly the PR was nothing short of stunning. They could have been selling someting made of putty (maybe they are ) and everyone would still have bought it.

Plus Compass are a smaller company that don't have the clout of ALIGN. The problems with the Pro/Sport and the 3D are virtually sorted now. I've put 160+ flights on mine collectively and there have been no problems apart from a phasing block issue which is minor. The problems I had early on were my inabilties as I had just started.

The 3D and Sport are SERIOUS helis, without doubt. Set them up right and I think you will love every minute you fly them. Maybe the 600N is better???? Maybe not if you ask Ade.......

I got my knight 3D in the middle of last month and have had just over 50 flights. I have had a few problems with it but after flying one of my raptors on Sunday after it was grounded with another problem I have ordered another 3D because it flys so well compared to my titan. The way I see it is; having to do more maintenance is worth it for the way it flys.
I heard that people are running 2100+ just to get the responses on the 600N?

Okay i'm get grief for this somewhere...

Knights are not perfect and if Ade is helping to improve them then alls good.

But please Remember the T-rex 600N may have issues but like the Knight they will get sorted.

I found the comments about soft screws etc on the T-rex amusing,The word putty was used I belive.. My question would be did they buy them from Compass

I would rather look at T-rex nitro than Knight if I was looking for another 50 machine. My Knight had issues some were the builder some were parts quality. But I'd never go near a Knight again my Raptor Titan is proving to be the best machine I have owned for a while.

To be honest the sport had its own faults, mostly on the 1st batch but not all models and silly stuff that just a pain, compass have been working hard in the background to control the supply of better quality material and bearing. Things that are being asked for on here, their trying to listen.

A new canopy should be out in a few weeks maybe a little more but soon.

All and all most things that are found have been sorted in a few weeks and they are sorted because they try to find the reason why it did it and learn from it.

They are a small company pushing the limits to make a better heli, being small there money is made in the selling of models and to that end customer need to be happy, aren't they always right.

The few that had probs and stayed with it, are sorted there has been some bad comments in the start of the year but the sport for me flies well and has been right from day dot.

Some that sla..ed it have come to like it more and more each time its flown.

Flying! nutz , commented that it can keep up with the big boys, The sport model has been punching above it weight since day one and it seem u can get it for around 160 or about that.

People that have not had help have gone there own way.

It is felt that the loss of Ade to align was big but while away the same things continued as before but as time goes on the models go out and no fault are reported.

Which can only be good news.

I was asked to help out with the knight model as a focus point for the knight team pilots but to assist in the fault finding and just general flack taker

The 3d is still new and to that end will have problems, there are a fair few on here now most got one too try and liked it

Will be good to work with you Ade, nice to see you back.

So what actually have TT done over the last 18 months to keep their models up to date?

We've seen them move the tail servo from it's safe place up front to where it gets covered in crap on the boom in order to make space for push/pull pitch set up and some new stickers.

In the same period we've seen the launch of 3 Knights and 4 or 5 Trex's

what gets me with the raptors is just the lack of real improvements to the stock models. the titan needs to be about 100ukp cheaper and come with a metal headblock and at least a brass sleeve on the washout hub and then of course there is a ali tail hub that explodes occasionally... especially if janek lays his eyes on it!

what i found really amusing was the fact they took the raptor head assey which is what makes the raptor fly like it does (not very nicely, compared to the knight) and stuck it on the electric.

i think TTs design team have been on holiday for the past 5 years leaving their marketing guys to fit various upgrades and a tin of paint to create the various models TT have now :-)

                          I am not saying anything
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

                          And a DX8 too

                              Changing the subject slightly,

What do you get being a sponspored pilot, i presume you have to pay for the helicopters yourself but get discounts on spares etc etc,

And isnt there any contracts to sign saying you "must fly our equipment for a year blah blah blah" or is it gentlemans agreement.

thought ill ask as there is no chance of being a sponsorerd pilot apart form a sponsored off crash kits.
If You Cant Dazzle' Em With Brilliance, Baffle' Em With emmmm you know the rest
