Ade's been Knighted again

Heard on the grape vine that Ade has gone scampering back to Compass with his tail between his legs after realising his trusty old Knight 3D was if fact a better model than the Trex nitro.

I guess this will be a set back for Aligns plans for world domination, but I shall hold on to mine as it looks nice and I never get a chance to fly IC anyway, so doubt I'll ever have any trouble with it

But the sport is a dam good heli form what I have seen of them in the past and I am still waiting for my T6N to prove itself to me,

The T6N is almost on par to my Raptor at the moment, but it is still early days.

They aint as trouble free as the 600E i reckon,,i have just given mine a complete once over after a weekends hard flying and

Dampers are shot
self tappers that hold tail assy are all loose and will not tighten
CCPM shaft has loads of play and the hex nuts heads are made of putty
Fan assy screws are all loose and will not tighten

Strange as the 600E is spot on,,i reckon the hyper is giving the airframe a hammering

Ade was never comfortable with the 600N,i am sure he will come out of this better off

Chris, were you running the Raptor modded dampers?

I still ain't got my governor working because of the crappy design of the sensor and crappy fan material, but I still like the heli all in all.

I think all new helis have teething problems, you just goto work at them to make them better or buy something that is old and proven........hey I did not mention Sceadu or Raptor LOL

the knight just inspires confidence and goes where exactly where i put it.

I am using the black supplied Dampers,on my 600E they lasted around 50 flights but they are shot after 8 on this one

I intend to use the PTFE ones ASAP,i am totally commited to the 600N and i am down for a belt tail one at my LHS,the plastic quality is poor and the screw heads are soft,if you have to keep removing the tail drive assy you would never get the screws to tighten again

There are problems appearing over on RR and the T Rex 600 Forum so i think we will have to bear with them for a while

Blimey you lot soon change your tunes, one minute the Trex is the best thing since Kylie, then next it's rubbish and the Knight is in once again, I can't keep up

You have to give it some time, you are all big enough and ugly enough to know that all Aligns models have a few problems on first release - the SE swash, 600 ESC, V2 dampeners to name a few, anyone who thinks this model was going to be 100% first time is very naive.

You make anything look good ya bugger ,,,i do agree though that the Knight 3d did look very handy when you flew it,,,the 600N looked good on Saturday but i could see you were not comfortable with it

Fair play to you for giving the new Sponsorship offer a go though,but me more than anybody knows that you always held the Knight in high esteem and stood up for it..

I think you have made the correct choice to be honest from your point of view

ade, perhaps you could post a breakdown of why the knight is better? i know it would help stefan in deciding which one to go for. At the clubman 3dx you said that you were undecided, but that you could see the trex being better, whats happened?

I personally think its a stunning model,i really love the 600E and this is every bit as good in the air as i had hoped,i will accept any issues until they are resolved..

But it may not be everybodys cup of tea,the Knight 3d is a cracking model but i personally dont like it but i am only going on looks not flight performance..

I am now past the point of getting into debates and bun fights,i want peace and harmony on this here portal

I am just happy to be part of this hobby and to be a member of a very good club (DMHC) with some great guys and gals there flying a range of makes and models

Well I have to say that I am totally in love with my Knight 3D It gets better and better each time it is flown, and it really seems to flatter my flying.

Usually I am the first to jump on the bandwagon and buy the latest and greatest new toy, but I am glad I didn't sell the Knight and buy a 600N.

I have also just sold my 600E because after flying my Logo 10, I realised that the 600E is not in the same league as the Logo (I only wish the Logo was cheaper to repair )

A friend has a Logo 10 and it sounds really good,i hear the quality is very high,they certainly look smart in pics ive seen...
