  • Csm SL420 Gyro Advice

I have sl420 on both my Raptor 30 and My 500 the 500 is new build and still going through set up.

I use DX7 and gear switch is set gear gear on both rap and 500 so i use travel adjust to change the setting.

The raptor has +90% -68% with the switch set the way it is its in heading hold when switch is off when on its in rate ?
Flys when and holds is rock.

Now the 500 is +70% -30% and the tail is rubbish Question is should I be bumping up the 70% or -30% I always fly in H/H

Why is the raptor spot on
I should know what I am doing by now but I have got in a bit of a muddle.
The more i read the more confused i get.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR

I've never found the SL420 very good on small electrics, I think it doesn't like the high head speeds we use on 500's and below.
You could try increasing the gain in 5% amounts until the tail begins to wag, (Ie: 75%, 80%)and also make sure you have the mechanical setup correct with your 5degs or so of right rudder at neutral point.
In an ideal world I would change it for a SL720 or even a GP750 as both work well on your machine.
