  • M.H swash for 120sr

    Hi everyone.....

Just wondering if any one has fitted the Micro Heli metal swash plate to their 120SR yet....

I was in Midland Helis the other week and saw them and was toying with getting one... Just wondered if anyone has fitted this upgrade and how they got on with it.....?

    Thanks all....

dont do it. i had an msr and blinged it but then it just didn't perform. keep it stock and spend your bling money on spares. cheaper and more fun.

I hear you matey... and im sure your probably right but i do love upgrading helis... it makes it more yours... if you know what i mean. That said what i dont want to do is change a part to make it look good and spoil the performance of the heli. I love my little 120sr and she does look nice with the upgrades ive done so far ( alot nicer than the stock version ) and as im not ready for CP helis yet im happy to spend my spare cash on this one.... best heli to date..!!!!

      Thanks for your thoughts mate..!!!!

I've not got a 120SR, but I have fully blinged my mSR and it's awesome!

        Cheers,
        Rob

Thanks Rob... i took your advice with the 120sr and fitted the Micro heli blade grips and main shaft and anti rotation collar so the only possible mod i would consider would be the swash... Not bothered about the main frame as ive stiffened the stock one by using a small cable tie around the motor and the main shaft housing. I have fitted the trex 250se landing skids as well so they helped and also gave it a little extra "healthy weight" ie more stable for controlled flying and landing in ground effect...

Just a thought... ( bear with me ) would it be possible to use a 120sr as a donor for a trex 250 fuse ( md500 )...? It would add a further 130g of weight so i would not expect it to perform as mad as the stock version but as a scale heli i would be happy with flat / smooth flight anyway.... I know the easiest answer would be a trex 250 but ive tried CP helis and cant get on with them yet......? More practice me thinks

I know it may be a daft question but i love scale helis as well as pod and boom and this would give me a FP option with a quality fuse....

cheers helipilot. i do understand the bling factor tho. thats why i got a 600 limited edition. and do you know if it is quiet, the wind whistles outside the window on a cool dark night, and the light is low, and the room is warm and i've had a few stella's, i swear she purr's and says to me " your a f$%king sh*t pilot " lol
