Switcglow Pro question

I have no spare channel and didn't buy the pushbutton.. instructions are weak with the unit and their website...
Am I right that i can Y-lead to my throttle channel. reverse the signal on the switchglo and set it for 15 secs glow and therefore get glow at low throttle.....recycle by upping and dropping throttle again?

It's made a bit harder by having beastx on this bird and that takes a while to initialise....

Yes, you can use a Y lead and throttle channel if you want.

Depending on exactly what else you have connected to your receiver you may have some other options that would keep it switch based by doing some mixing, but I can't see why your suggestion wouldn't work.

I'm just setting one up myself so I've been playing with similar issues

I had the same problem using an AR7100 , so I used the gyro gain (gear) channel on a Y lead so in normal (rate) mode the switchglow was on In heading hold it was off.
That worked well for me.

Don't forget to have the TX switching dip switch to on , took me ages to work that one out .

Thanks folks...both ideas agree with my thoughts..

As a point of interest to anyoen with the elyQ reg I decided to connect my carbsmart directly to the elyq and lose a y lead...I asumed that the 2 buses would both be common on all spare pins BUT no power from the 4th low voltage side but the carbsmart powers easily from the 4th socket on the higher power side.

Gyro gain channel may be the safer on to use in case I get a dumb brain moment and crank while resetting the switchglow :-)...

..dumb brain problems are commonplace with me.......along with dumb thumbs..

Out of curiosity, with the 7100 couldn't you have used the other 'gear' socket and run the Switchglo Pro at the higher voltage and avoided the need for a Y lead?

Had mine Y cabled on the govenor channel (Ch 7), set mix on switch to turn govenor off and glow on.
