i think waz has actually done horizon a favour with this thread. 1 bad thing said about them (which wasn't even a bad thing really, just a numpty being a numpty) and god knows how many good things have been said, if i was researching on the net radios and come this thread it would make me choose a spektrum. very rarely do you get so many independent opinions agreeing.(either hh have a very good customer service or it's christmas)

I did type a longer reply but lost it .. summary :

HH sent me free parts for my dx6i on 3 occassions, trim tabs, switches etc, they explained it was coming from a used controller. they also sent me a free rx after the dx6i recall and also on several occassions replaced faulty rx's with brand new after crash damage.

maybe wasim has been spoilt by service better than this elsewhere??

You could of course have written a proper reply Wasim!!...along the lines of:

I'm very sorry dear members for starting this stupid thread in the first place and i feel rightly embarrassed for having done so, and due to the high number of positive replies about Horizon Hobbies great after sales service i am now going to pull my head out of my arse and email them to appologise about my attempt to besmirch their good name on this site and to thank them for what i realise now was in fact excellent service.

Thank you members for your participation, your succinct replies have helped me to open my eyes to the truth.

I have nothing but praise for Spektrum and especially the product support given by Horizon Hobbies. Since my return to rc flying two years ago, I have broken the the trim switches on my DX6i, had the DX6i gimbles replaced, killed an MSR and broken the back cover of my DX7. HH have replaced or repaired all of these bits and reprogrammed five receivers with the latest software - all free of charge and with a fantastic turn around time.

I have sent them numerous letters of thanks for their deeds and placed posts on many forums because of the excellent service I received.

OK in some instances the quality of the Spektrum product may have been a little poor but anyone who makes anything can and will make mistakes and the measure of a good company has to be how quickly and effectively they react to give their customers good service and HH are definately one of the best I have dealt with.

Getting off my soap box now, so have a great Christmas all.

Despite the OP ive had nothing but first class service from HH. They are second to none and I do feel confident that when one of my products develops a fault I know I will be looked after by them.

Ive sent a few products back to HH and never had a bad word against them.

Also this DX7 was second hand bought from Jamiem and they didnt hessitate once asI didnt have proof of purchase etc.

Ive sent something else back aswell I think it was my old Dx6i but still the fixed it no probs.


I think the uproar from this thread and all the responces and views in such a short space of time (1,7++) proves only one point.
