not happy with horizon hobby

well i emailed h.h that i needed a new friction plate for my throttle which has was worn out and they said they send one for free. i thought great.

so i received it 2 days later and it looks clearly that its not brand new it looks as if it been used. its got marks on it but slightly less compared to my current one.

so never spektrum again im moving over to jr once i saved up for it .QUALITY ASSURED.

So you have taken the huff that they have sent you a replacement part free that is basically a thin strip of metal that will have sanding marks etc on it. Dude they could have charged you for it, who cares if it looks used as long as it works and you never had to pay for it then I don't see a big deal here

That's a bit harsh isn't it??? They sent something to you free of charge and you're saying "Never Spektrum again.". Horizon's customer service has been second to none in my experience and they have definitely gone beyond what I would normally have expected on the couple of occasions that I have had a problem (when I say problem, I mean I smashed up one of their receivers in a crash and they replaced it for free even though the warranty had long since expired).

you wore out your radio, they send a part FOC and because it is used your not happy?

has it not occured that the item may have been out of stock and to get your flying over christmas some poor twat at horizon had to sacrafice their own radio to get you going?

if your not happy with that then your in for a HUGE HUGE shut eye with a bang when you try to get anything from macgregor in 2 days....and forget FOC.

i had some faulty trim switches on my dx6i. i called them and they sent me 2 FOC. what can u say?

Same census here... You got a quick turnaround and FOC.. dont know what your grumbling at!!

I broke a backplate on my DX7.. I emailed them and they again sent a one FOC within 2 days!!.. I have NO problems with HH and will stick with em defo!

Maybe horizon are better of with out ungrateful customers like you that moan for the sake of it, I have sent a receiver in for service with broken case, and they have replaced it free yes free for a second hand one and told me that they have no stock of parts but used the second hand ones rather than do nothing for me, I was over the moon very pleased with this service, after all I broke it

I just thought of something, one of the guys in our club phoned Horizon and told them he had a receiver that he had crashed (told the truth) and asked them if they could do anything with it. They said send it in and we will see what we can do, now this thing was trashed and he told them to bin it if they couldn't fix it. They sent him out a new receiver FOC. I call that going well beyond the call of duty!!!

well I cant fault HH. I sent my DX7 in to get checked over as it had an intermittent fault. What did HH do? They said they couldnt find the fault I described but, for my peace of mind they would replace my DX7 with a new one. Lo and behold 2 days later a brand new dx7 delivered to my door postage free too. I think you should seriously reconsider before moving away from Spektrum

sent my brusied and batterd tx off to them over a year old, snapped ariel and all switchs bent or broke. Came back all repaired as new (they did use scrap parts) but never charged a penny, and it also works better than new as well.

I have nothing but the utmost praise for them their customer service is as good as it gets not much better out there. I have on several occasions sent back rx's that have been in crashes and they replace them foc every time and on mon i went there on the off chance that they could fix my dx7 before xmas and to my surprise they did it there and then they even replaced the antena and only charged me for the rf unit. so my advice to you is go to JR .
