  • Highland heli folk?

    Helio all,

I live in Inverness and I was wondering if there was anyone up in this neck of the woods who flys helicopters?

I'm very new to flying and have just started with 4ch coaxial helis. I have 3 of them, an Easycopter Colibri V.4, a Twister Blackhawk and a Big Lama.

I'd love to hook up with others who fly in this area and perhaps we could join forces to see if a suitable indoor space was available for those of us who are at the total mercy of the weather conditions.

    hi,
i live at evanton, north of inverness, theres a few of us that fly out from dingwall and nairn area. its 50 or 90 size mainly although we do have some 450's. there used to be a group who met to fly in a sportshall in inverness but i dont think they still do. we tend to just battle the snow and still fly outdoors

        Hi Ian,

I guess with 50's or 90's outdoors is a bit more fun. I am struggling with coaxials outdoors but I'm hoping my Big Lama will do well on clamer days.

Let's keep in touch and hook up some time. I'd love to see others flying and see what I may aspire to someday.

          Hi Mike,

Yeah, I'm hoping to get a nice indoor space where I can begin to practice with some elbow room, at the moment the best I can do is roughly 10' x 10' of clear-ish space...not enough for the Big Lama and Blackhawk apart from testing and some hover practice and at that it is pretty white knuckle.
