BNF ? / Batt setup on Caliber

I know this is yet another qustion where I show off my dumbness, but whats this BNF, i know its Bind and fly, but is that to any TX, or only to
Spektrum, Futaba, Esky and Hitec ect ect


As i use a Flysky TH9X TX, which is shall we say a poor mans Futaba, spektrum ect.. got all the bells and whistles on it the same as the above, although i should think not as good quailty, but never the less a good TX.

Also i am about to put the battery (a Turnigy 2200 35c) on my caliber 4oo, and i am thinking of mounting it under and between the skids, and the rx on top where the bat normally sits (see pic 1)

or shall i mount it with bat on top and rx below (see pic 2)

hi gaz, i think the lipo should sit where the rx is up the front and i would put the rx where the front of the lipo is now. have you checked your center of gravity? open the blades and position 1 going straight forward and 1 running inline with the boom. flybar and paddles run sideways accross the heli. pick the heli up by the flybar by letting the flybar just rest on your fingers and you will see if the heli tilts forward are backwards. it shouldnt tilt either way if the heli has got good center of gravity. if it tilts forward very slightly then that should be ok but you dont want it tail heavy.

what size heli is the calibre? what size blades is it swinging and also what esc are you using

what is this rx pack for that i just posted for you?

The BNF stuff works with DSM2 gear, Spektrum/JR. Not sure about other systems, but I don't think so.

i was only wondering about bnf, its not an issue with the 2 heli's i have as i have 2 rx's for my tx, as your being so helpful Matty, fancy guiding me though setting up the heli ... lol
