  • Advice needed on 450 size heli

Looking at getting a 450 size heli for indoor use only.

I don't want a T Rex or a Flasher, just something that's not going to need a shed load of upgrades to fly half decent.....

Anything RTF that's worth looking at?

    Thanks

You probably can't go wrong with a Trex450 Sport which has a belt driven tail, and as such more forgiving in tail strikes and crashes.

That being said the Align range, and as far as I'm aware clone 450's are not ready to fly out of the box, being mostly kit forms. Also the term RTF 99% of the time means you have everything you need to get off the ground, but they will need setup as well.

Hope you have a large indoor space for a 450?

450 size heli would need a considerable amount of room so when you say indoor is that in your home or a hall/warehouse.
I would say Trex as they come in complete kit form.
450pro IMO is good choice with set of Align 325 wood blades also tail is TT so worst that happens is your strip gears.

        Space is not an issue

Why would I want to fly a 450 size heli inside my house

Do not want a T Rex of any size or a clone!

Thanks anyway, there must be something else other than Align.....

Building a heli is not an issue :-)

I just want ideas on what to stick under the tree for Paul (P51)

Who has got a taste back for flying helis!

Sorry Sam, didn't read the OP correctly!

Any of those 450's mentioned by bigpops will be a league above Align and make an awesome pressie. I've only ever seen the Furion flown in anger and was rather taken with it's design. I believe the Rave is rather expensive to crash?!
