So, what wrong with a wooden frame heli
I am building/converting a LMH nitro to electric. I had the kit shipped from the US and have made the new chassis from ply. All parts are bolted onto the chassis and I will fit the electric motor. The plans were glued onto the wood before being cut-out. I did not use the wooden ones that come with the kit at the holes for the engine tank etc were just too wrong.
This makes up a fine larger FP heli for training use, where the blades just bend when they hit ! It used wire drive tail and will give good flight times brushless using T-Rex 2200mah Li-Pos.
I will be flown with the plastic canopy.
I would love to try it in the nitro version
but the wife wants to fly it in the garden.
See pics below and I will post more! I just need to add the links to the servos and it's ready for a test...
