It's a MicroMold Lark - fixed pitch - circa 1975ish. originally the cabin was abs but as spares ran out people made there own out of wood.
The air frame was plywood - and if memory serves there was not a ball- bearing in the whole kit . They were all oilight things.

They definately flew... my old man has about 3 of them.. with a new one still in box.
The GMP Cricket was a copy of the MM Lark..
At the time of its release in the mid 70's commerically available helicopters (Schluter Cobra, Graupner 212) cost several hundred pounds. The Lark was around £60. It was what got a lot of people into the hobby because it was cheap to buy and cheap to repair.. in fact a lot of parts could be made yourself.
There was even a flybarless head available for it for aerobatics (yes it would loop with the flybarless head).. though I still can't quite get my "head" (ahem) around how a flybarless, fixed pitch, rotor head actually works... but work it did..
